FAQ

Questions we are asked most

About the products, the cooling method, and buying and supporting them in ASEAN.

Buying in the region

Who distributes Kiutra cryostats in Singapore and ASEAN?

Paeonia Bloch, a Singapore-based company, distributes Kiutra cryostats in ASEAN. We handle configuration, quotation, import, installation support and local service. Contact cs@paeoniabloch.com or use the quote request form.

Who distributes Delft Circuits Cri/oFlex® wiring in Singapore and ASEAN?

Paeonia Bloch distributes Delft Circuits products, including Cri/oFlex® cryogenic flex cabling, in ASEAN, so you can buy and get support locally rather than ordering directly from the Netherlands.

How do I get a quotation?

Send us the experiment, the base temperature and sample space you need, the number and type of signal lines, and your timeline through the quote request form. We reply within one business day and come back with a configuration and a formal quotation.

Can I get the datasheets?

Yes. Each product page has a short request form; an engineer sends the current manufacturer datasheet, usually within one business day.

Do you support installation and service?

Yes. We arrange delivery and import, support installation and commissioning, train your team, and provide first-line support in your time zone with escalation to the manufacturer. See service and support.

Where can I see you in person?

At the IPS Meeting 2026, Singapore University of Technology and Design, 28 to 30 October 2026, or at our office at Paeonia Place, 159 Kampong Ampat, Singapore, by appointment.

The technology

Is a Kiutra cryostat a dilution refrigerator?

No. Kiutra cryostats cool by adiabatic demagnetization refrigeration (ADR), a form of magnetic cooling. A dilution refrigerator cools by mixing helium-3 and helium-4. Kiutra's approach reaches sub-kelvin temperatures without any helium-3. ADR and dilution refrigerators compared.

Does a Kiutra system need helium-3 or liquid helium?

No. Kiutra systems are helium-3-free and cryogen-free: a closed-cycle cryocooler pre-cools the system to about 4 K and magnetic cooling takes the sample below one kelvin. (The T-Type Optical is a 5 K system cooled by the closed-cycle cryocooler alone.) How helium-3-free cooling works.

What is adiabatic demagnetization refrigeration?

A cooling method that uses a magnetic material whose entropy depends on an applied field. The material is magnetised and its heat removed, then the field is lowered with the material thermally isolated, and its temperature drops. Repeating or staging the cycle allows continuous operation. Read the explainer.

What is Cri/oFlex®?

Cri/oFlex® is Delft Circuits' family of flexible cryogenic cables: many signal lines on a thin flex circuit that runs from room temperature to the coldest stage of a cryostat, used for qubit control and readout and other low-temperature experiments. Cri/oFlex® in detail.

Can Delft Circuits wiring go into a Kiutra cryostat?

Wiring is specified per cryostat and per experiment. Tell us the system, the line count and the frequency range, and we will confirm compatibility with both manufacturers before quoting.
